Earlsdon produced a statement performance on the road, dismantling second-placed Bromyard with a commanding 41–19 victory built on relentless work rate, physical dominance and collective belief.
While the scoreline reflects an impressive attacking display, this was a result forged by the whole squad. Every try scorer would be deserving of individual praise, but this victory was emphatically about the team. Against a strong Bromyard side who have been near the top all season, Earlsdon matched physicality with precision and intensity, working tirelessly for one another across the full 80 minutes.
From the opening exchanges, Earlsdon set the tone. Defensive effort was outstanding, contact area work was ruthless, and the accuracy that had been missing in recent weeks finally clicked into place. Ball carriers fought for every inch, support lines were sharp, and the commitment to the game plan never wavered. When pressure came, players stepped up with real determination, showing composure and resilience that underpinned the performance.
Coach Jon Fitt was full of pride after the final whistle:
“I couldn’t be prouder of the efforts of every player. We were quality for 80 minutes. I’ve known this potential was there — we’ve just lacked accuracy in recent weeks. Today showed exactly what this group is capable of when everything comes together.”
This result should serve as a major confidence boost, but the focus now turns forward. Earlsdon must carry this intensity, accuracy and togetherness into a huge week of training before welcoming Old Leamingtonians next Saturday at home.
