Final Score: Earlsdon 32 – 7 Manor Park
Earlsdon RFC 1st XV delivered an excellent all‑round performance on Saturday as they secured a convincing 32–7 victory over Manor Park RFC. The win not only showcased the team’s growing cohesion and confidence, but also earned them a valuable five league points, lifting them back up the table into 6th place — now just four points behind 4th‑placed Bromyard in a tightly contested league.
A Fast, Clinical and Composed Display
Earlsdon crossed the line four times in total, with Jack Hayward and Will McCranor each registering well‑taken tries. The standout attacking contribution came from Nat Hall, who added a superb brace to cap off a dominant home performance.
Captain Jack Tague was instrumental from the tee, adding three conversions and two penalties, keeping the scoreboard pressure firmly on the visitors and ensuring Earlsdon’s control of the match never wavered.
A Strong Reaction and a Statement of Progress
Following a disappointing display the previous week, the coaching staff were particularly pleased with the response. Head Coach Jon Fitt praised the mentality and maturity shown by the squad:
“What was really pleasing was the reaction after last week’s performance. Our defensive shape and structure, discipline, and execution of the game were all better. We have come such a long way in 12 months, which would be easy to forget. The players are working really hard, and they deserved this victory.”
The improved defensive organisation and on‑field discipline allowed Earlsdon to dictate tempo and territory, while the attacking play showed confidence and variety — a clear sign of the development that has taken place over the past year.
Back in the Mix
With the league table tightening, this result puts Earlsdon firmly back in contention as the season enters a crucial phase. The squad will look to build on this momentum and continue climbing the standings, buoyed by a performance that combined resilience, precision, and attacking flair.
