Earlsdon produced a devastating attacking display on Saturday, running in a 73–19 victory over Droitwich in a performance that fully delivered on the promise they’ve been building in recent weeks.
The tone was set almost immediately. With just 50 seconds on the clock, Walsh – retaining his starting jersey after last week’s Player of the Match performance – burst over for the opening try, giving Earlsdon the perfect start and a clear statement of intent.
From there, it was one-way traffic. Earlsdon dominated proceedings, putting the home side to the sword with a ruthless blend of structure and flair. The match became a showcase of their attacking shape and strike plays, with the backline in particular firing on all cylinders.
Winger Harris and full-back Hayward both crossed for hat-tricks in a clinical display of finishing, capitalising on the space and opportunities created across the pitch. They were supported by further tries from Dyal, Waller, and McHugh, while a penalty try capped off the scoring.
From the tee, McHugh added three conversions, with Tague contributing five to keep the scoreboard ticking and reflect Earlsdon’s dominance.
After the match, coach Jon Fitt was delighted to see his side finally hit the standards they’ve been threatening to reach.
“The boys thoroughly deserved that this week after a quality Thursday nightsession. It was great to see us get things right, and we’re excited to take this into some big fixtures coming up.”
A complete performance, and one that sets a strong platform for the challenges ahead.
