Some sad news to share that Former Earlsdon RFC player and our oldest living member Frank Needham, passed away in his sleep. Frank who was 94, played in our First XV aged 16 in 1948. He played his last game in 1987 aged 55 in the Married v Singles game on Boxing Day. Frank played as Flanker for Earlsdon and even turned down a chance of playing for Coventry RFC to stay at his beloved Earlsdon RFC. He also played at scrum half in the 2s & 3s regularly playing with his son Jason.

Frank even led the First XV out two years ago aged 92 and also sponsored the annual Young Player of the Year Award, his son Jason will carry this tradition on in memory of his father.
