Well as we near the end of another year, we take a look at how well the Earlsdon teams have done so far this season. The First XV have excelled since their promotion from Counties 2 last season. We are currently sitting comfortably in 5th place in the league, having won 4 of the last 5 games. Coach Jon Fitt is a very happy man and believes that if the lads can step up another gear, they can maybe move up the league and make a challenge for a top three spot. The Second XV, with a mixture of youth and experience, are also playing well under the guidance of Gareth Withers. Our Colts team numbers are improving and they are sitting nicely in mid table of the Warks Colts League. The Walking Rugby are probably the largest Walking Rugby section in Warks and held their annual Xmas Kazoo party last Tuesday.
Any new players are more than welcome to join the training sessions, Training for all sections are on Tuesday evenings at 7pm, the Seniors and Colts also train on a Thursday evenings.
The M&J section are also looking for players for all age groups, see Mike Slattery for info.
The social scene at the club is really picking up, last weekend, the clubhouse was exceptionally busy with Social Events as the Senior Players held their Xmas party on Saturday and then the M&J all day Xmas party with Santa on Sunday.
The next Social Events comes on Jan 3rd as the club holds the Annual New Years Quiz. There are still a couple of places for teams, contact Mick on 07734559927 if you want to enter.
On Jan 10th, Earlsdon First & Second XV are both at home to Ledbury RFC in the first games of the new year. Prior to the kick off, there will be a two course pre match lunch starting at 1.11pm. The cost will be £5 for members and £10 for non members. See Mick or Crayton for details.
Happy Xmas to everyone involved at Earlsdon RFC 🔴⚪️🔴
